Description
Bring a burst of joyful energy to your holiday repertoire with this harp arrangement of the genuinely silly Spanish carol “Fum, Fum, Fum.”
Often called the Catalonian Carol after its origin, this is a fun–fum–minor key piece. I designed an entry level for beginner to intermediate players that still sounds expansive and dramatic and playful. You’ll find big, bouncy octaves that are easy to grasp and incredibly satisfying to play, paired with a punchy rhythm to keep the whole piece dancing from start to finish.
Bright, festive, and full of character, this arrangement is perfect for when your need to bring some cheerful mischief into your Christmas concerts, community events, student recitals, and holiday setlists.
- Beginner to intermediate
- Key of a minor with preset G sharps
- No lever or pedal changes
- Two minutes
I sang this in children’s choir and remember how ridiculously fun it was to almost spit the emphasis. There are some very good arrangements of this – Carlos Salzado’s version for pedal harp is definitely the best but is also very hard! Sometimes you want something a little simpler and sillier which is why I made this accessible, fun version.
